BTSA Day Procedure

Riverside Unified School District's Beginning Teacher Support & Assessment/Induction program provides two (2) substitute days to observe other classrooms and/or engage in planning and student assessment in addition to the professional development days.

Here's how it works.  Your first step in taking a "BTSA" day is to determine the purpose of the day and select a specific date.  Once you have done this, contact your site administrator to receive approval for being out of your classroom.  The next step is to complete a conference attendance form obtained from your principal's secretary.

Contact Sally Costa to receive the BTSA budget number if your school's secretary does not already have it.  Finally, determine where you will be working for the day.  The funding source for the "BTSA" day requires that you work at a school site or district building.

At times, there will be a room available to work at the Staff Development Center.  Please arrange this in advance through the BTSA office.
